South Africa 2017-- Start the count-down. It's only 12 months from now . . .
The next International Protea Association conference will be held in Stellenbosch South Africa (inland from Cape Town) in August 2017. So far, about a dozen CPA members are planning to attend.
The last conference was held in 2015 in Perth Australia and CPA members who attended that one told us it was the "trip of a lifetime." They said it was breath-taking to see where the Banksia, Grevillea and Telopea grow wild.
As you you know South Africa is the "Mother Land" of protea - where they are native, along with leucospermum and leucadendron. Hard to imagine these gorgeous flowers growing wild, but they do. That being said, there are many farms and reserves devoted to growing protea and we plan to visit some of them on the pre-conference tour.
Join IPAIf you are planning to attend this conference, you will want to join the IPA (only IPA members will be allowed on the pre-conference tour). Also, by joining in advance, you will start getting communications about the conference (session topics, speakers, accommodations, attendee pricing, etc.)
